Aharonian & Associates was commissioned by the historic St. Joseph’s Church in Cumberland, RI to convert an existing maintenance garage into a cemetery chapel. The Chapel has a small alter area where mourners can be protected from inclement weather. In addition, Burial niches were built into the Chapel’s marble walls of the columbarium which can accommodate 253 cremated remains. The Chapel was blessed and dedicated in 2002.

Aharonian & Associates also designed an addition to the St. Joseph’s Parish Center. The 4000 square foot addition will house 6 classrooms and office space for the CCD program. Realizing the Church has a limited budget we are looking at ways to provide a pleasing design while keeping the cost down. Aharonian & Associates prides itself on these types of challenges. The project is in the preliminary design phase.
